The Senator representing Imo north in the red chambers of the National Assembly, Distinguished Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, has praised Okigwe zonal women for their role in advancing a better society by instilling in their children, good morals and values needed for a better society.
This is as he pointed out that President Buhari’s administration is rebuilding Nigeria based on fundamental values that shaped the childhood of many Nigerians, but which were sadly abandoned by a few in pursuit of stolen money that they can never spend.
Uwajumogu said this as he joined in the global celebration of the 2018 mothering Sunday, stressing the need to celebrate Okigwe zonal women daily for their numerous contributions towards the repositioning and development of the zone and state.
According to him, Okigwe zonal women have over the years shown what great pillar of support they can be in the bid to chart a new cause for Okigwe zone and the state in general.
In a statement released to the press by his media office, the former Imo Assembly Speaker, urged the women of Okigwe zone and Imo state in general to remain unstoppable in their role as pillar of our homes.
He described Okigwe zonal Mothers as important stakeholders in his administration who are strategically positioned in the process of creating a more progressive and developed okigwe zone.
While admonishing them to remain good Christian mothers, prayerful and loyal to their matrimonial home and our dear country Nigeria, he urged them to sustain their contributions to the development of the zone, as well as their support for his administration.
