Following his determination to take the Imo darling team Heartland Football Club of Owerri, to greater heights, the Chairman of the club, Chief Goodfaith Etuemena’s well thought out partnerships with Turkish Club Boluspur has yielded another result as Heartland”s selected players arrived Turkey for an invitational tournament on Friday 6th of July 2018.

The team will commence with the competetion tomorrow 7th of July 2018, the tournament is slated to last for two weeks.

The club’s Foreign Technical Adviser Mr Mehmet Tyfun was on hand to guide the team through out their stay in Turkey.

Etuemena according to a release issued by Henry Echefu (media officer), was able to achieve this fit following the innovation he brought to bear since his assumption of office and believes that a football club like Heartland will not forever depend solely on government funding but with such can raise funds to aide the team financially.

Heartland although seats at the bottom of the NPFL but it’s management under the able leadership of Chief Etuemena is not relenting to make the club the envy of other clubs in the country.

The team in Turkey will engage other premier league Club side taking part in the invitational tournament.
